Most believe that restricting calories will result in weight loss. While this may be true for some, cutting calories over long periods does not result in permanent weight loss for most people.
For most people, reducing calories means skipping meals, eating low fat, low sugar, processed, "diet" foods, and drinking diet drinks and sodas. After 3 to 4 weeks, the body goes into starvation mode, not because it is starving for calories, but because it is starving for good nutrition. In this mode, the body's metabolism slows causing a plateau in weight loss and then, an increase in weight.
The proper way to reduce calories is to do so without reducing nutrition. The most nutritious, low calorie foods are fresh, locally grown, and organic vegetables and fruit. Over time, eating low calorie, highly nutritious, unprocessed foods has been shown to reduce weight and improve overall health. To see the science go to:

Re: Weight Loss and Low Calorie Diets
Why is it that we all know this - yet we still go this route - spend the time, energy and expense - only to fail! Isagenix should be a part of everyone's routine. I find a 9 day cleanse monthly to be very refreshing. I feel so good when completed!

You seem to be a great specialist in this sphere. At least what you write surely deserves attention. I'd like you to have a look at my creation rapidshare SE for( www.rapidsharemix.com/trends/us/07-04-2010.html ) and say what you really think about it. Thanks!
