Acetaminophen is a common painkiller found in prescription and over-the-counter drugs including Tylenol, Vicodin, Percocet, Darvocet, Lortab, Excedrin, Alka Selzer Plus Cold, and Theraflu. Whether an occasional or long time user, acetaminophen has been linked to liver failure, asthma, kidney failure, and death even at the prescribed and recommended doses. In addition, this drug, per year, is responsible for
- 100,000 calls to Poison Control
- 56,000 visits to the emergency room
- 26,000 hospitalizations
- 450 deaths due to liver failure
It makes me wonder
- How many hospitalizations and deaths due to this drug go unreported or undetected?
- How much money do we spend correcting the problems caused by this drug?
- If this is what Tylenol does, what do other painkillers do to destroy our health?
We need to remember that taking a painkiller is like putting a piece of duct tape over the check engine light on a vehicle. The problem is masked but not corrected.
Natural healthcare, including chiropractic, targets and corrects the cause of pain, has very few, if any, harmful side effects, and is extremely cost effective when compared to time lost and money spent due to harmful, sometimes deadly, drug side effects.
Please join me on July 16 at 7:00pm to hear world famous Dr. Pam Popper talk about natural pain relief and disease prevention through good nutrition and supplementation.
